How to View Your Instagram Likes: A Complete Step-by-Step Guide

How to see the posts you have liked on Instagram

To view your Instagram likes, open the Instagram app or website, go to your profile, tap the menu, and select "Liked". This shows every public post you have liked. You can unlike posts from this list if needed. Below are step-by-step instructions for phones, tablets, and desktop browsers, plus tips for privacy and managing your likes.

View your likes on mobile (step by step)

Use these steps on iPhone and Android devices with the current Instagram app version.

Open the app and go to your profile

Tap the Instagram app icon, then tap your profile picture in the bottom-right to open your profile.

Open the menu and find Liked

Tap the three-line menu (hamburger) in the top-right, then scroll to find and tap "Liked". On some interfaces, you may need to tap a heart icon or look under an activity or privacy section.

Browse and manage your likes

You’ll see a grid of posts you have liked. Tap any item to open it. To unlike a post, tap the heart icon on the post in your Liked list or while viewing the post itself to remove the like.

View your likes on desktop (browser)

If you use Instagram on a computer, you can still review your liked posts.

Sign in and open your profile

Go to Instagram.com, sign in, and click your profile picture to open your profile.

Open the Liked posts section

On the desktop version, click "… More" under your bio or look for a Liked posts link in your profile’s activity section. The exact label may vary; select the option that shows your liked items.

Interact with likes online

Once in the Liked list, click any thumbnail to view the post. Unlike by clicking the heart icon on the post or in the Liked list if the option is available.

Understanding your Likes and activity

Liking a post is a public action that can show your interests to others who view your liked posts, depending on privacy settings. Instagram stores your likes as part of your activity, and you can review or clear them. Note that some accounts may have restrictions that limit what you can see.

Privacy and account considerations

Your likes are part of your on-platform activity and may be used to personalize ads and recommendations. You can adjust who sees your likes in your activity settings and control personalized ads in your Facebook and Instagram privacy settings.

Quick reference: how to find your likes

  • App (phone): Profile → Menu → Liked
  • Desktop: Profile → More / Activity → Liked posts
  • You can unlike posts from the Liked list
